Hirecise is an AI-powered recruitment platform available at https://app.hirecise.com. We are committed to protecting the personal data of all users, recruiters, and job applicants who interact with our services.

2. Data We Collect

Recruiter / Account Data: name, email, and company name provided at registration; billing information processed securely via Paddle; account preferences and usage data; IP address and device information for security.

Candidate Data: CV/resume documents uploaded by candidates; contact information (name, email, phone); professional information extracted from CVs; consent records confirming the candidate agreed to data processing.

Usage & Technical Data: log data, browser type, and pages visited; error reports sent to our monitoring service (Sentry, anonymised); analytics events — anonymised.

3. How We Use Your Data

• • Providing the service: Processing CVs, running AI scoring, displaying candidate rankings
• • Communication: Sending application confirmations to candidates and alert emails to recruiters
• • Billing: Managing your subscription via Paddle
• • Security: Detecting and preventing fraud and unauthorised access
• • Improvement: Analysing aggregate usage patterns — never individual profiling for advertising

4. Legal Basis for Processing (GDPR)

• • Consent: Candidate data processed only after explicit consent at point of application
• • Legal obligation: Retaining certain records as required by applicable law

5. Data Retention

Recruiter account data is retained for the duration of the account and up to 12 months after closure. Candidate data is retained until the recruiting company deletes it or a deletion request is received. Candidates can request deletion at any time by emailing privacy@hirecise.com.

6. Data Sharing

We do not sell your data. We share data only with trusted third-party processors necessary to operate the platform:

• • Resend — Transactional email delivery
• • Sentry — Error monitoring (anonymised)
• • Vercel — Hosting and deployment
• • Google/Anthropic/OpenAI — AI CV analysis (data not used for training)

7. Your Rights (GDPR)

You have the right to access, rectify, erase, restrict, and port your personal data, and to object to processing based on legitimate interests. To exercise any right, email privacy@hirecise.com. We respond within 30 days.

8. Security

We protect your data with SSL/TLS encryption in transit, encrypted storage, access controls, and regular security reviews. Passwords are hashed with bcrypt and never stored in plain text.

9. Changes to This Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy periodically. We will notify active users of material changes by email. The date at the top reflects the most recent update.
