1. What Are Cookies?
Cookies are small text files stored on your device when you visit a website. They help websites remember information about your visit — such as your login session or preferences — making it easier to use the site on your next visit.
2. How We Use Cookies
Hirecise uses cookies to operate the platform and to understand how it is being used. We do not use cookies for advertising or to track you across other websites.
3. Strictly Necessary Cookies
These cookies are essential for the platform to function. Without them, you cannot log in or use the platform securely. They cannot be disabled.
- • hw_auth — Stores your authentication token. Expires with your session or at 30 days if "Remember me" is selected.
- • hw_role — Stores your account role (recruiter / admin) to direct you to the correct dashboard.
- • hw_panel — Stores your panel preference (standard / healthcare).
4. Functional Cookies
These remember your preferences to improve your experience.
- • hirecise_notifications — Stores your notification preferences (localStorage, not a traditional cookie).
5. Analytics Cookies
We collect analytics data to understand how visitors use our website. This data is not used for advertising and we do not sell or share it with data brokers.
- • Cloudflare Web Analytics — privacy-preserving analytics with no cross-site tracking
- • Google Analytics (_ga, _ga_*) — Measures page views and site usage to help us improve the product. We have disabled Google Signals and ad personalisation features, so this data is not used to build advertising profiles or shown as part of Google's advertising products. Retained for 14 months. You can opt out using the Google Analytics Opt-out Browser Add-on.
6. Third-Party Cookies
Some features may set third-party cookies:
- • Cloudflare Turnstile — Human verification on sign-up forms. Sets a temporary verification cookie.
7. Cookie Duration
- • Session cookies — Deleted when you close your browser
- • Auth cookies — Up to 30 days if "Remember me" is enabled; otherwise 1 hour (JWT-based)
- • Third-party cookies — Duration set by the third-party provider
8. Managing Cookies
You can control and delete cookies through your browser settings. Note that disabling strictly necessary cookies will prevent you from using the Hirecise platform.
